Whispering Willow Photography was born from a season of growth, curiosity, and a deepening connection to horses, nature, and storytelling.

I’m Lacy — a photographer, barn mom, and someone who found the horse world in April of 2022. What began as something entirely new quickly became grounding, transformative, and deeply meaningful.

That journey was shaped by my heart horse, Willow. Her quiet presence, patience, and trust taught me how powerful stillness and connection can be. She is the namesake of my business and the heart behind the way I see and photograph the world.

At Whispering Willow Photography, I specialize in equine, family, and lifestyle photography that focuses on real moments rather than posed perfection. I’m drawn to movement, connection, and the quiet in-between — the soft nuzzle of a horse, shared laughter, the way light settles just right.

Whether it’s a horse moving freely, a rider with their partner, or a family simply being together, my goal is always the same: to tell your story honestly and beautifully.

My approach is calm and unhurried. Sessions are designed to feel natural and comfortable, allowing moments to unfold instead of forcing them. I believe the most meaningful images happen when people — and horses — feel relaxed, seen, and at ease.

Based in Northern Maine, my work is deeply inspired by the landscapes and seasons around us — snow-covered barns, open fields, wooded trails, and the ever-changing light. These places become part of the story, grounding each image in a sense of authenticity and place.
